Gender Sensitization Committee
At DS College of Pharmacy, we believe in fostering an inclusive and respectful environment that upholds the dignity and rights of every individual. It is with great pleasure that we introduce the DS College of Pharmacy Gender Sensitization Committee, dedicated to promoting gender equality, preventing discrimination, and creating a safe and supportive space for everyone.
Objectives of the Gender Sensitization Committee:
- 1. Promoting Awareness: The committee is committed to promoting awareness and understanding of gender-related issues, stereotypes, and biases within the college community.
- 2. Preventing Harassment: We are dedicated to creating a campus free from gender-based harassment, discrimination, and violence. The committee actively works to prevent and address any such incidents promptly.
- 3. Educational Initiatives: Through workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns, the committee seeks to educate students and staff about the importance of gender equality, consent, and respectful behavior.
- 4. Support and Counseling: The committee provides support and counseling services to individuals who have experienced or witnessed any form of gender-based discrimination or harassment. We aim to create a safe space for individuals to express their concerns and seek assistance.
- 5. Policy Advocacy: The committee works closely with college administration to advocate for policies and practices that promote gender equality and inclusivity.
How You Can Contribute:
- 1. Attend Awareness Programs: Participate in the workshops and seminars organized by the Gender Sensitization Committee to enhance your understanding of gender-related issues.
- 2. Report Incidents: If you witness or experience any form of gender-based harassment or discrimination, report it to a committee member or through the designated reporting channels.
